Brianne Bio
Brianne Bassetto is an emerging singer/songwriter from Chicago. Playing in the Chicago scene for several years, Brianne has performed as a solo artist playing acoustic shows, and also performed with a variety of different bands, each one adding different influences to her songwriting and playing style. Brianne has been singing since childhood and she has played several instruments, with guitar being the instrument that inspired her to begin writing songs. She is determined to break the mold of the conventional singer/songwriter through her poignant songs and imaginative mind. Brianne's songs are centered around universal themes mostly comprised of circumstances and experiences that she has pulled directly from her own life or through observing others. Brianne is a humble songwriter with the holistic belief that her songs write themselves and she is merely the muse that breathes life into them by interpreting the source.
With her passion being the songwriting and exposing her original music, Brianne has recently put together a new rock band. Brianne has taken the role of vocals and guitar while Tim Mackin is on drums, Phil Kondos is the lead guitarist, and Mike Rago completes the project as the bassist. The band completed the new demo "Blonde Hair and Bad Lighting" which was released on February 2nd. They will be playing soon in the Chicago area, so check back for show dates.
